My Councelor

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night, my heart instructs me. –Psalm 16:7

There is a time when we can talk with God undisturbed. In the stillness of the night, Jesus communes with His children. I know from personal experiences.
It is then when in the quietness of night, He gets our attention and can tell me things.

So take heart, Jesus longs to counsel with you. At night when you can’t sleep, try talking to the shepherd. He is waiting to get in touch with His children.

Tell Him all your problems, Tell Him all your concerns. He is listening and will talk to you. Take time to listen and hear His voice.

I will praise the Lord. He talks to me and tells me things I need to know. My heart instructs me.

Discouraged Little Ones

Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.-Colossians 3:21

We must be very careful not to irritate or tease our children, lest they become discouraged. They need no exta and unnecessary pain and sorrow added to their life. We should take special care and not break their spirits. Ephesians 6:4 says: And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

-Proverbs 13:24 -15:1,18

Echo Of Love

As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.Luke 3:4
Prepare for Me and walk straight paths. Do you hear God’s voice calling from the wilderness of life? The mountainous way of life can be rugged and long, but His way is straight and narrow. This King of Glory is marching your way today.Hear the voice calling who so ever will. Open wide the gate and invite Him to enter

A voice is calling, “Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3

God’s Word Is…

God’s Word Is…
Written for our instruction

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

Intended for the use of all people

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: -(Romans 16:26)

Nothing to be taken from, or added to

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. -(Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32)

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. -Deuteronomy 12, verse 32
One portion of, to be compared with another

13: Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. -(1 Corinthians 2:13)

A Blessed Marriage

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.  -John 2: 1,2

There was a marriage, and Jesus was called. It is very desirable, when there is a marriage, to have Jesus Christ present at it. Our marriage is blessed when we have his spiritual gracious presence. To have the marriage owned and blessed by him: the marriage is then honourable indeed; and they that marry in the Lord (1Co. 7:39) do not marry without him.

We can invite Christ into our marriage by prayer; that is the messenger that must be sent to heaven for him; and he will come: Thou shalt call, and I will answer. And he will turn the water into wine.

Vessels of Gold

And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon. – 1 Kings 10: 21

Solomon had a great kingdom and increased his wealth. Silver was nothing unusual in his surroundings. That is the way the nature of worldly wealth is.  Plenty of it makes it the less valuable. Then much more should the enjoyment of spiritual riches lessen our esteem of all earthly possessions.
1Kings 10:20 Twelve lions were standing there on the six steps on the one side and on the other; nothing like it was made for any other kingdom.
1 Kings 10:22 For the king had at sea the ships of Tarshish with the ships of Hiram; once every three years the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold and silver, ivory and apes and peacocks.
In Solomon’s greatness, we see the performance of God’s promise. It should encourage us to seek first the righteousness of God’s kingdom. He has great riches and pleasures awaiting for us.
Solomon having tasted all earthly enjoyments, wrote a book, to show the vanity of all worldly things, the vexation of spirit that attends them, and the folly of setting our hearts upon them.  He recommends serious godliness,  which will make us happy that all the wealth and power he was master of, and, through the grace of God, it is within our reach. If gold in abundance, would make silver seem so despicable, shall not wisdom and grace, and the foretastes of heaven, make gold seem much more so?

Born Again

Are you born again? This is one of life’s most important questions. Jesus Christ said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

One who is born again has a special love for disciples of Christ and all people.
He finds no pleasure in things which seem to bring happiness to most people. They love the sinner but hate the sin. One who is born again looks to God’s Word rather than the world for answers. They are overcomers of the world.Their desires are to live a holy life pleasing the Father in Heaven.

One born of God loves God with all their heart. He that is begotten of God keepeth himself’ (I John 5:18).

Have you been born again? To enter into Heaven we must be born again.”Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

Beatitudes

The beatitudes speak volumns for us all. Take a look at God’s Word.

Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matthew 5:3-12

Believer’s Privilege

“Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” – Romans 8:15-16

When we believe in Christ, God bears witness within us by His Spirit that we are true children of God. That is something an unbeliever will never experience. The Spirit gives us confidence that we are children of God, and we respond by calling Him “Abba,” which means “Pappa,” or “Daddy.” Some might say, If you believe and take the step of faith, the witness will be confirmed in your heart by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
