Do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your children’s children. (Deuteronomy 4:9)

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS

One generation of mothers to another. Each leading  and living a Holy life with God first in her life  leads to another new generation of women that care and love.

Who can find a virtuous woman? She is far more precious than jewels… Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle. Her sons rise up and call her blessed. He husband also praises her: Many women are capable, but you surpass them all! Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. ~Proverbs 31:10, 25-30

A GOOD NAME

Everyone desires to be proud of their name.  To be well spoken of surely goes along ways. A mark or memorial of individuality toward one’s name is excellant honor. It gives one great joy and honor to have a good name. We can let our future generations proclaim a proud name  In Proverbs we read…….

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches” ( Proverbs 22:1)

Great riches bring great cares with them. By great riches we may relieve the needs of others, but by a good name we may recommend God to them. We should be more careful to do that by which we may get and keep a good name, than to raise or add unto a great estate. Wealth and riches do not mean much, when compared to a good name.

A good name is better than a good ointment, And the day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth -Ecclesiastes 7:1
The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.

Job 30:8, Hebrew); “good” is supplied here from Ec 7:1. -Proverbs 10:7

Guard Your Name

You got it from your father,
it was all he had to give
So it’s yours to use and cherish,
for as long as you may live.

If you lose the watch he gave you,
it can always be replaced.
But a black mark on your name, son,
can never be erased.

It was clean the day you took it,
and a worthy name to bear.
When he got it from his father,
there was no dishonor there.

So make sure you guard it wisely,
after all is said and done.
You’ll be glad the name is spotless,
when you give it to your son.

The Church of the Dormition on the crest of Mount Zion is a familiar landmark in Jerusalem. Located in the cluster of buildings near its base is the traditional tomb of King David and on the second floor, one traditional site of the Upper Room; scene of the Last Supper.

A mark was used to designate the boundary of land. It could have been an object as a marked tree, a stone, a ditch, or a heap of stones. It linited the boundary of a farm, a town, or other portion of territory. It was then made known and preserved. Landmarks could not be removed without incurring the severe displeasure of God. A curse was pronounced upon anyone who tampered with any of the original landmarks. it was a detestable, abominable thing to do.This is the same as stealing your neighbor’s land.

Landmarks are important because they define boundaries. We  do not need to remove the Spiritual landmarks today that has been established. “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). Follow the landmarks–there is something wonderful awaiting you. God’s Word has many boundaries for us to follow. We must pass them on to the next generation and keep them alove. These are the guidelines of our faith.Be obedience to the faith.
