Happy New Year

Ezekiel 34, verse 10
   10: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

Zechariah 9, verse 16
   16: And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

John 10, verse 28
   28: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand

Prayer for the New Year

O God of all things created. Begining and end. You are life and life more abundantly. Thank you for the gift of a new year. Let this new year bring joy and gladness into our heart and lives. Help us to grow in your likeness and be a living example of your love. Help us to be committed wholly unto you in all our ways. Thank you for Your Son, Jesus that gave His life for all. Let the new year be a blessing for all as we take time to cherish my family and friends. Let us embrace your love and walk by your side each day. Help us to remember that your pathway leads home. Amen

A  for a Bible to read each day  
P  for peace so abundant in our heart.
P  for plenty of love from friends and family.
Y  for years now gone we are so thankful
 
N  for new life daily from above
E  for entry into a brand new year
W  for winter evenings by the fire

Y  for yearly resolutions we make anew
E  for every one of God’s Promises
A  for all blessings God sends our way

Happy New Year To All

Another year is dawning.
Dear Father let it be,
In working or in waiting,
Another year with thee.
Another year of progress,
Another year of praise,
Another year of proving
Thy presence all the days.
Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace,
Another year of gladness,
The glory of thy face.
Another year of leaning
Upon thy loving breast,
Another year of trusting,
Of quiet, happy rest.
Another year of service,
Of witness for thy love,
Another year of training
For holier work above.

RESOLUTION
Our lives are fields that primarily contain weeds. We cannot produce strawberries. We can mow the weeds, but that effort alone will never produce acceptable fruit. If we really want that fruit we will have to go deeper. We must plow up the whole field and start again with new plants.
