Forgiveness

Sometimes it seems almost impossible to forgive someone that has hurt us, but God’s Word says that we must, if we want God to forgive us. Just turning it over to Jesus and letting Him handle it is the best way to deal with it. When we have Jesus thoughts in our heart, we will then forgive. When He dips His pen of love into our hearts, we want to please Him and do as He says, for He is a God of Love. His Spirit all divine will fill our sinful soul and His Love will wipe away all hurts.

Do you need to forgive someone today? Let us not let a lack of forgiveness keep us from serving God. Ask God to give you the desire to forgive and then the ability to do so. Forgiveness is an act of grace that reflects God’s treatment to us. When I forgive, I release God to work directly on the other person.
Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. -Matthew 18:21-22

Peter thought he was being very generous by offering to forgive his brother seven times in one day, but Jesus said he should forgive him 490 times in one day. It would be impossible to have someone sin against you 490 times in one day. Jesus is actually saying that there should be no limit to our forgiveness.

Regardless of how many times one sins against us we have to forgive and confirm our love unto him (2 Cor. 2:6-8).
. . . forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

If God expects us to forgive our brother who has trespassed against us times in one day (actually an unlimited number of times), certainly He who is love will do no less with us. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.1 John. 4:8
“If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. -Matthew 18:15

LIFE AND DEATH

Choose Life:

Everyone wishes to obtain life and good, and to escape death and evil. They desire happiness, and dread misery. So great is the compassion of the Lord, that he has favoured men, by his word, with tree-seek-mesuch a knowledge of good and evil as can make them happy forever.

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; -Deut. 30:15

We are also commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart.

Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Our first parents ate the forbidden fruit, in hopes of getting thereby the knowledge of good and evil; but it was a miserable knowledge they got, of good by the loss of it, and of evil by the sense of it.
God has favoured us by his word with such a knowledge of good and evil as will make us happy and healthy.
Deuteronomy 11:26 “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:
God has shown us the way to obtain happiness and health. We can avoid all misery by being obedient. We are told to depend upon God: He is life, and the length of our days. He gives life, preserves life, restores life, and prolongs it by his power. He sweetens life with his comforts, and is the sovereign Lord of life. In his hand is our breath. Therefore we are concerned to keep ourselves in his love; for it is good having him our friend, and bad having him our enemy.

Seek the LORD, and ye shall live! -Amos 5:6

The Church of the Dormition on the crest of Mount Zion is a familiar landmark in Jerusalem. Located in the cluster of buildings near its base is the traditional tomb of King David and on the second floor, one traditional site of the Upper Room; scene of the Last Supper.

A mark was used to designate the boundary of land. It could have been an object as a marked tree, a stone, a ditch, or a heap of stones. It linited the boundary of a farm, a town, or other portion of territory. It was then made known and preserved. Landmarks could not be removed without incurring the severe displeasure of God. A curse was pronounced upon anyone who tampered with any of the original landmarks. it was a detestable, abominable thing to do.This is the same as stealing your neighbor’s land.

Landmarks are important because they define boundaries. We  do not need to remove the Spiritual landmarks today that has been established. “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). Follow the landmarks–there is something wonderful awaiting you. God’s Word has many boundaries for us to follow. We must pass them on to the next generation and keep them alove. These are the guidelines of our faith.Be obedience to the faith.
