My heart is steadfast, O God;
I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth.
Psalm 108:1-5
I will praise you, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to you among the nations.Psalm 108:3
Awake, harp and lyre the dawn!
David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.
God’s lovingkindness is great above the heavens; And His truth reaches to the skies.
He is worthy of all praise, glory and honor

Sing Unto The Lord A New Song
Sing aloud unto God our strength; make a joyful noise unto the God of
Jacob. Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp
with the psaltery. — He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise
unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
ISA. 42:10.
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou
dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
The joy of the Lord is our strength. Paul thanked God, and
took courage. He will give us new songs to sing. Many will turn to God.
Knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for
now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far
spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of
darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly,
as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and
wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Psa. 81:1,2. Psa. 40:3. Josh. 1:9. Neh. 8:10. Acts 28:15. Rom. 13:11-

HAPPY EASTER
Wishing you a Happy Easter filled with all the things that make a happy heart!
May you live forever in the light of Christ’s resurrection. Wishing you the blessings of Easter. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (John 11:25-26)
Let us rejoice in the love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Joyous Easter Blessings. God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. (Psalm 47:5)
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the holy spirit. (Titus 3:5
Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. (2 Peter 1:2) .
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3
It Is Finished
There’s a line that is drawn through the ages
On that line stands an old rugged cross
On that cross, a battle is raging
To gain a man’s soul or it’s loss
On one side, march the forces of evil
All the demons, all the devils of hell
On the other, the angels of glory
And they meet on Golgotha’s hill
The earth shakes with the force of the conflict
And the sun refuses to shine
For there hangs God’s son, in the balance
And then through the darkness he cries
It is finished, the battle is over
It is finished, there’ll be no more war
It is finished, the end of the conflict
It is finished and Jesus is Lord
Yet in my heart, the battle was still raging
Not all prisoners of war had come home
These were battlefields of my own making
I didn’t know that the war had been won
Oh, but then I heard the king of the ages
Had fought all the battles for me
And that victory was mine for the claiming
And now praise his name, I am free.

.
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. Psalm 138: 1-3
Whenyou find your heart set at liberty in God’s worship, take the opportunity of an enlarged heart to open up your heart and praise, as David does here: “I will praise thee with my whole heart.” Sing a song of joy to the Lord.

Praise God
Praise God for Christmas.
Praise Him for the incarnation, for the word made flesh.
I will not sing of shepherds watching flocks on frosty nights,
or angel choristers.
I will not sing of a stable bare in Bethlehem,
or lowing oxen,
wise men trailing star with gold,
frankincense, and myrrh.
Tonight I will sing praise to the Father
who stood on heaven’s threshold
and said farewell to his Son
as he stepped across the stars
to Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
And I will sing praise to the infinite, eternal Son,
who became most finite, a baby
who would one day be executed for my crime.
Praise him in the heavens,
Praise him in the stable,
Praise him in my heart.
-Joseph Bayly
GOOD NEWS FROM GOD’S WORD TO US:
Fear Not
In the Christmas narratives, there are several “fear not’s.”
1. The “fear not” of salvation: “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings…which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10,11).
2. The “fear not” of the humanly impossible: “Fear not, Mary, … the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: …For with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:30, 35, 37).
3. The “fear not” of unanswered prayer: “Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John” (Luke 1:13).
4. The “fear not” of immediate obedience: “Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife. … Then Joseph … did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him” (Matthew 1:20,24 )
The King of glory came down and dwelt among us. Overflowings of Divine good will and favour now come our way today. Heavenly Angels gave praise to God. They sang out, –
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. -Luke 2:14
Jesus the Son of God came down and dwelt among men. He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of his being. He holds everything together by his powerful word. After he had provided a cleansing from sins, on earth, he returned to Heaven and sat down at the right hand of the Highest Majesty.
”Hosanna to the Son of David; BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Hosanna in the highest!”
But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice,
Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:
Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
For thou wilt bless the righteous;
O Jehovah, thou wilt compass him with favor as with a shield.
-Psalm 5:11- 12
Soul Music
Singing has always been something I love to do. When I was a small girl, I would cry, if I wasn’t asked to sing at singings and gatherings. It is a family favorite. My grandpa loved to play the fiddle, so we would do the singing. Now I may not be all that good at it, but I love to try. Rev. R.W. Schambach said, God not only made the canaries, but also the crows. So I have something to sing about.
One can always sing a song to God. He delights in hearing our praise. the Bible says –
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Eph. 5:19
Let music from your soul come forth and praise the Almighty God who made all things. Let melodies arise early in the morning from the heart. We please God mightily when we do so.
For God is the King of all the earth: sing you praises with understanding. Ps.47:7
Prayer by Thomas Fuller, 1608-1661 in his writings.
LORD, my voice by nature is harsh and untunable, and it is vain to lavish any art to better it. Can my singing of psalms be pleasing to thy ears, which is unpleasant to my own? yet though I cannot chant with the nightingale, or chirp with the blackbird, I had rather chatter with the swallow, Isaiah xxxviii. 14. yea, rather croak with the raven, than be altogether silent. Hadst thou given me a better voice, I would have praised thee with a better voice. Now what my music wants in sweetness, let it have in sense, singing praises with understanding. Psalms xlvii. 7. Yea, Lord, create in me a new heart (therein to make melody), Ephes. v. 19. and I will be contented with my old voice, until in thy due time, being admitted into the choir of heaven, I have another, more harmonious, bestowed upon me.
